Your eco-friendly accommodations at Thunderbird Inn features green hotel initiatives. In baby steps we’re proving that eco-friendly travel in old Savannah with bold expenditures helping the inn to ‘go-green’.
During 2012-2013 renovations we’ve adopted “Hip. Historic. Green.”initiatives, but keep the our focus simple: “Earth is worth getting nostalgic about.”
Because we’re busy ‘going green’, guests enjoy old fashion beverage glasses – not Styrofoam cups — and paper plates for your breakfast serving ware. Bathrooms feature water-saving features. We recycle not only for guests, but invite Savannah tourists exiting by our inn to shed their recyclable items here.
The inn’s stunning street-side garden conserves water. Our professional landscaper uses colorful native plants, low volume irrigation, natural mulch, and storm water.
